Back in early January, The Home Living Team created our Hometown Helpers program to show gratitude and appreciation for those who work in community service. This program was designed to offer robust savings to Teachers, Healthcare Professionals, First Responders, and Military personnel on the purchase and/or sale of their home. Little did we know at that time, 2020 would prove to be the year in which these public servants would be pushed and worked like never before. Amid a global pandemic, our Hometown Helpers have literally become our HEROES. So now, more than ever, our team is ready, willing and able to do our part by giving back to those who do so much for our beloved community. Joe and Angela Delise are a husband-wife real estate team at Keller Williams Indy Metro North. Together, they hold over 20 years of experience in the local market and love living, working and raising a family in Carmel, IN. In April 2018, their lives were shaken when Joe suffered sudden cardiac arrest. Although panicked, Angela was able to quickly call 911 for the instructions and support she needed to provide timely CPR. Within minutes, a police officer was there to take over CPR until the paramedics arrived. They worked on Joe for some time, eventually getting him stable enough for a transport. He was taken to IU Health North Hospital, where he remained in ICU for nearly 2 weeks. It was a very difficult time for the family, as his health and their future were quite uncertain. However, he made an unbelievable recovery that shocked everyone and was able to resume normal life within a few short months!
